Cheap Car Insurance And Full Coverage

Cheap Car Insurance And Full Coverage

Typical full coverage (liability, comprehensive and collision, uninsured motorist and medical coverage) should cover any damage you do to others in addition to your car up to its fair market value.

In addition, full coverage car insurance would pay for your injuries and those of your passengers, if you are at fault.

Full coverage typically will NOT pay for things like racing and off-road use.  You will also not see these policies pay for things like catastrophes like war and nuclear contamination.

You probably want to check your car insurance coverage before you use it in a ride-sharing program.  Not will a typical full coverage policy pay for damage as a result of using your vehicle for delivery purposes.

Comprehensive and collision policies also will usually not cover things like freezing, normal wear and tear.  You will pay for any mechanical breakdowns or tire damage unless you choose an additional rider.

You also have to realize that usually things stolen from your car will not be replaced by car insurance policy.  Rental cars and unattached electronics are usually not covered nor are custom parts and equipment.

But do I need full coverage?

We have to have liability insurance or some other proof of financial responsibility. Coverage comes in varying levels, from the mandatory minimum to as much as $500,000.

You, as the car owner are liable personally for any injury or property damage beyond the limits you select.

Your insurance company won’t pay more than your limit.
